"The HERMIT" material is not directly connected to the 'Language of the Stars'. However it is felt that spiritually-inclined visitors to this site will benefit from reading his wise words and teachings. It begins with his only comment ever on the place of astrology in our lives but then the teachings that follow deal with a greater perspective of our earthly lives and an existence beyond.
THE HERMIT
One day, when I was troubled and seeking some peace from the madness of this world, I chanced across a cave I'd never seen before. The cave was welcoming but far too dark to see inside. So I entered cautiously.
As I stumbled and fumbled my way through the darkness and shadows of the cave I suddenly came across an old man sitting in silence and smiling. At first I hesitated to approach him but I eventually summoned-up the courage to ask him his name. The old man told me he had been known by many names throughout his existence, but I should simply know him as 'The Hermit'.
So kind and caring was the Hermit that I returned repeatedly to that cave to be with him. I would ask him of many things that were troubling me and, without hesitation, he would reply with a profoundness of wisdom that I had not encountered anywhere else. Then just as my soul was at last finding a great peace through the presence of 'The Hermit' in my life, he was gone!
I searched high and low for the Hermit but there was no trace of that wonderful and wise man to be seen. So great was my loss at the time that I wept deeply. Then when I could weep no more I began to realize that although 'The Hermit's physical presence had been taken from me, his profound teachings would remain with me forever - as long as I cherished them within my heart. So I remained in the cave for some considerable time and reflected on the wisdom he'd shared with me.
Some time later a young man entered into the cave and groped his way through the darkness. He seemed nervous and troubled. When he encountered me he asked my name. Recalling what I had been told, I said to the young man I'd been known by many names in my time but he should know me as 'The Hermit'. He seemed content with my answer and proceeded to ask me all manner of questions about the things that were troubling him in his life.
Instantly recalling the words the Hermit had given with me when I'd asked those self-same questions, I shared them with him in the hope that he too might have found comfort in them...

ON... 'THE STARS'
“Do you not see the stars as they travel the sky? Do you not feel their power as they interweave with the destinies of mankind? Is this not magic of a high order? Know them. They are the language of life and man may learn of all life’s secrets from them. Do not despise the wisdom of the ages. Great minds have seen their purpose. Look up and know the majesty and mastery of life. There is no greater learning.”
Further Hermit teaching will be added as time goes by.
