ASTROLOGY WITH INTEGRITY

The standing of astrology has suffered considerably as a result of the misrepresentation and abuse of its popular image by the media or through prejudiced and misinformed opinion. Consequently he public at large often confuses true astrology with what can only be described as the perversions of prediction, fortune-telling and occult-based hysteria. This is assuredly a debasement of its true potential. This attitude of course is in no way helped by the numerous and frivolous Star Sign columns that infect most popular newspapers and magazines.
As the noble art of astrology has been dragged down to the level of no more than fairground booth entertainment it is difficult for any serious thinking-person to take it seriously. It is little realized that true astrology, conscientiously and open-mindedly studied, can raise the quality, understanding and purpose of our lives substantially.
True astrology enables us to define our potentials (and handicaps) more effectively and also illustrates clearly how we might fulfill ourselves better in terms of our personal life journeys. This surely makes it a paramount tool in us each building a better and more clearly defined life structure for ourselves (and others). Genuine astrology, in the right hands, can add invaluable insights into the art of living – and especially in terms of the healing arts of medicine and psychology. This has been consistently proven in the past and can be adequately proven again after much sincere and open-minded research by contemporary practitioners within these particularly fields.
What is now required of astrology is that many open-minded individuals from all walks of life should test its assertions (and its wisdom) for themselves. The proof of the pudding is always in the eating and astrology genuinely has nothing to fear from an honest and objective re-appraisal of its knowledge and capability. It has proven itself over and over again when placed under the microscope of objective reason and there is no reason to believe that it will not do so again in this modern and open-minded technological age.
Professional astrologers must also step-up to the plate and recognize the great responsibility they carry. They should always ask themselves just why they are doing what they do. If their motives are honorable (and not just for personal power or monetary reward) then they are truly worthy of the great responsibility they carry. By offering sound, practical and insightful advice to those in need they are indeed following the great tradition that has gone before them. As the great herbalist/astrologer Samuel H. Weir once wrote to an eager student...
“There are many reasons for wanting further knowledge of the subject. My own reason was to try to understand how even different members of the same family are attracted to quite different things and are repelled by others which differ just as widely. Your own motive for wanting to study astrology is probably still somewhat hazy. But it should be cleared in general in your own mind before you commence further study. The reason for this? Simply because you must know for certain that your motives are neither cravings for power over others, nor desires to be able to use others for your own ends by playing on their weak points. You and I must maintain, throughout our communications, the closest possible unity between 'theory' and 'practice'. Most theory which is not put to some practical use at once, tends to extend itself endlessly and develop finer and finer shades of meaning - sometimes even demanding a new vocabulary to express itself (and usually finally disappearing up it's own 'ivory tower'!). So let us, in these early days of study, keep our feet firmly planted on the ground and endeavor to show the uses of everyday theory brought forward, using practical examples the Birth Charts of those we know well enough to check your analysis is correct.”
Like any of the life sciences, astrology should not be approached lightly. It demands a lifetime of diligent study (and integrity) if its secrets and its wisdom are to be embraced for the benefit of ourselves and of those around us. Yet it is a lifetime’s study never wasted. For in the process of our searching there is little doubt that the rewards along the way will repay the willing student handsomely.
The bottom line is that astrology really works if you approach it with a serious and objective mind. We could write a million words and still not convince the reader that what we say is true. Therefore you really have to just start doing it to know its truth for yourself, and without a shadow of a doubt.
We sincerely wish you well with your journey!
